Powerchat offers a Streamlabs Integration option for various reasons, and a small percentage of Powerchat creators choose to use this service. For examples of uses we have seen, scroll down to the Use Case Examples section of this page.
Navigate to the External Integrations tab of the Powerchat Creator Dashboard and scroll down. The last option, under the streaming platforms, is Streamlabs. Click the 'Link' button to link your account. Once clicked, you will find yourself on an API Authorization for Powerchat page on the Streamlabs website where you will then click to authorize the connection.
Once finished, you will be redirected back to Powerchat and there will now be a checkmark by the Streamlabs integration option, and the 'Link' button will now be an 'Unlink' button. You have successfully linked your Streamlabs account if you see this. Now, anything that happens through Powerchat will also be reflected on your Streamlabs dashboard, and trigger alerts in the Streamlabs alertbox, as well as update various other overlays provided by Streamlabs.
It is very important to be aware of the following:
Media will only work for legacy Streamlabs accounts which still have the media play in the normal alertbox. Most accounts do not have this option anymore. If this is the case, you should disable media in TOS Protection & Toggles section of the Settings tab in the Powerchat Creator Dashboard.
Pricing to trigger Text-to-Speech is controlled in the Streamlabs dashboard. If you are using the Streamlabs alertbox, you must set the price on the Streamlabs website. Your Powerchat page will reflect the price you set in the Settings tab in the Powerchat Creator Dashboard. It is important to set both prices to the same amount so there will be no confusion with users trying to support you.
The following are various use case examples we have recorded with real Powerchat creators:
Creator is using the Streamlabs Mobile app on iPhone, which does not support third-party overlays. Creator uses Powerchat on every other platform outside of their iPhone, and wants to keep things uniform and simple for their users.
Creator primarily uses Streamlabs normally, but wants to also offer Crypto payments via Powerchat to their users.
Creator wants to use an overlay feature that Streamlabs currently offers, that Powerchat does not, but primarily uses Powerchat.
Creator uses Streamlabs Desktop, and has an unknown issue preventing Powerchat alert playback, but primarily uses Powerchat outside of Streamlabs desktop. The Powerchat team has been unable to reproduce this unique issue, so the Creator uses this as a workaround.
