Alerts Not Playing
Alerts Won't Display At All
This is typically the result of human error or poor connection.
Check the URL and make sure it is accurate. If it is the alertbox, it should be https://powerchat.live/USERNAME/tts
Make sure your connection is good. If it is too low, it will take a long time to trigger the alert and may not trigger it at all.
If you're using an Apple iPhone device, sometimes Apple Security features randomly block connections to third-party sites and services in applications. For this reason, we recommend using an Android alternative for IRL Streaming.
Alerts Show but Text-to-Speech or Media Won't Play
This is typically the result of poor connection or a third-party service being blocked.
Make sure your connection is good. If it is too low, the alert may display, but the third-party services which provide the Text-to-Speech and YouTube, which provides media support, won't load or will take a long time to load. You may notice media buffering or skipping as well if this is the issue.
It is rare, but if you're on a public WIFI connection, or even a mobile hotspot, sometimes those providers will block connections to services that Powerchat relies on to deliver our service. You can check this by disconnecting from that WIFI and trying to play an alert on a different connection.
